
Vancouver, B.C. – July 25, 2008 – Pacific Coach Lines is pleased to announce that through partnership with B.C. Ferries, B.C. Transit & the Regional District of Nanaimo a new scheduled motor coach route has been created to serve mid and north Vancouver Island communities with direct service from Nanaimo to YVR (Vancouver International Airport) via Duke Point. This new route will also provide a scenic & relaxing alternative for Lower Mainland residents & visitors traveling to Vancouver Island.
This route will feature four daily departures, Thursday through Monday from Nanaimo via Duke Point to YVR, and, from YVR to Nanaimo via Duke Point. Departure times and locations have been strategically devised in order to provide the public with direct connections utilizing Nanaimo Regional Transit in the Regional District of Nanaimo at the Transit Exchanges at Woodgrove Centre, Country Club Centre & at the downtown exchange on Prideaux Street.

Pacific Coach has been working with B.C. Ferries for over 45 years as the primary scheduled inter-city coach service between Vancouver and Victoria. In 1997, this “Cross-water” service was expanded to include YVR to Victoria. In October of 2007, Pacific Coach was named the official passenger carrier between YVR and Whistler. Pacific Coach was selected by Vancouver Airport Authority based on the company’s exemplary reputation for quality service, safety and reliability.
