The capital of British Columbia, Victoria, is home to the Legislative Buildings, site of the provincial government. These beautiful buildings were constructed in 1897 by Frances Mawson Rattenbury, who won a competition to design the new buildings and who later designed several other major buildings in Victoria. The Legislative Buildings are available for tours at certain times of the year.
